Ken'ra Study 01: Greater Coucal

So- Yeah, lots of things practiced on here. Mainly focused on the length of arms and Torso as compared to the head. I am sure their are some issues with the legs, I am still working out the anatomy I want with the Ken'ra (though I will accept tips on proportions. Feet are based off an Owl by the by). Focused on a top left corner light source, still needing work- tried to graduate the shading to help with the shadowing effect. I am happy with my ink work, I was able to apply a multiply effect to help blend the lines into the main body nicely (and easily). Major work was done in SAI, touch ups in GIMP.

Critiques Welcome! If you see something that makes your brain go O_o 'wtf is this?' point it out (of course in a professional manner, as I am aiming to learn).

Our friend the Greater Coucal, the star of this picture. Um... I haven't figured out what the heck I am doing with his happy bird butt yet. But he is lovely, and I am extremely over all happy (despite having pins and needles in my hand, I know another is out their with a worse hand at this time). If you want to suggest something for him, by all means. No, I will not be giving him away 8D
