CAE: Kem-Jobe

Jade-Doue had always had more focus on his science projects then anything else. So the choice to have children got several heads to turn, until he explained. Regenta had been tested in the lab and shown to be able to pass its effects between generations, but it had only be tested on animals. It needed tested with sentients sooner rather then later so they could study the effect. Being a test subject himself Jade-Dous stepped up to the task, going through StarCrost to gain two children. From day one Jade-Dous of course began to show what a good father he would be- by hiring a full time Nanny to take care of the children. Surely it would be fine to do, and his two boys would grow up fine.

What Kem-Jobe spent most of his time doing was watching others. His brother ran a tight ship, and it was easier to fall into like with his schedule then make his own. Getting ready on time more so when there was a rush always caused him an amused smile at his brother; never teasing him about it. The boys only got to see their father a few hours of the day, and both took fully advantage of it when they could. Sure their Nanny was nice, but she was there because she worked there. Kem-Jobe didn't really draw much attention to himself in school, he did well of course and worked hard; but he never really shinned. He did terrible in artistic electives and found them frustrating (coming come one with his face covered in paint as he'd face planted onto his canvas because he'd given up).

The boys never got their tails docked, though the reason for this was not clear. Their father still had his full tail, so might have felt they should be the same way? Or saw it as unneeded with the boys living on Cruix and not Cran-si? The best guess was from his brother that their Dad had meant to- and then had forgotten to schedule them to get it done. So! Tails it was!

From a young age Kem-jobe liked to be clean, so much in fact he'd follow their nanny around to re-clean things behind her if he didn't have school work. Eventually she had just started handing him off things to clean since he seemed to like it, using it as a reward for getting his homework done. His interest extended into play, cleaning up after other kids; or hogging the toy broom when small and getting dragged into playing house. He had friends in school even if they thought what he enjoyed was odd.

Once graduated from basic schooling and heading on to work for a degree Kem-Jobe discovered he was missing some basic skills. While he could clean, he had no idea how to cook or preform other basic domestic tasks. It was important to learn as he was no longer living at home with someone to take care of him (having opted to move to campus dorms once in school). Luckily there was the internet as well as elective classes to help. Kem-Jobe had a slowly growing passion for all things that were domestic house life, a passion nearly as deep as his father's for science.

So while his brother was working on becoming a Neurosurgeon, and his father was working to discover how to more effectively stop the clock on aging; Kem-Jobe was day dreaming about being a house husband. His wife would come home from work to a spotless house with dinner on the stove, and he'd greet her with a warm welcome home. Or him. Which ever gender he eventually found a partner in. He finished his schooling with a cooking degree, happy with working at a small dinner cooking as well as keeping the place spotless. It made him happy and gave him the ability to drop meals off to his brother on his way home from work sometimes. And- what a splendid way to meet people! Someday he might even find a busy someone that could make his personal passion and dream a reality.
