[ Cranous Dusansho ][2585]Indulgent | Practical
[Radiation Shielding Technician]
[ Jaro Dusansho ][2585][Devoted | Jaded]
[Structural Engineer (Radiation Shielding Specialty)][Magic Able]

- Lunken and Dusan had been long time lovers when the talk of children started. The two males had met working as bunker builders, working to construct work space and homes that could stand up to harsh weather conditions on the surface of their home world. Both men had an Alloy type diet that was highly common to their area, it existing in their families and many of the other families in the city. After looking at their choices and working over fears and concerns with a doctor it would come down to deciding which one of them would carry. Lunken who worked more from the office then his partner would insist it was him and tease in part that it was because he didn't want to see scares on Dusan that he did not earn from his own hippcups on the job.

They would decide to aim for two, as while the pregnancy would be harder it was not certain that the two would have time in the future to raise more children and now with things for the most part calm they wanted to go ahead and do it. They were financially and mentally prepared when they went in to get set up, and Lunken got everything set up properly. It was no surprise as the pair went with the bone marrow process that they would have twin boys. Testing showed both metal related mutations, with the boy named Cranous simply having metalic skin and his brother Jaro having an Alloy with his metallic body causes denser weight. Both had alloy diets like their parents and the pair was pleased with that as they were already prepaired to handle it. Cranous had an added mutation that caused rock like growths from his skull, the spikes starting to appear shortly after his birth. Jaro meanwhile had the interesting mutation of low radiation, which really didn't effect anything at the time so his parents were not concerned.

From an early age Cranous loved to collect junk. It didn't matter much what it was he just liked to have a lot of it. His father's often laughed playfully and teased him about his hoard, but never stopped their child from chasing his hobby. What Cranous  was indulging it was generally harmless after all and as the boy grew he began to do more with his collection then simply hoard it. The family did not have a lot of space and he understood such, so he began to work out ways to reuse the junk he had to make it useful. His hobby turned into studying and tinkering at home became a ongoing passion. Gifts to the family were often remade items that had been turned from trash to practical.

Jaro had his own hobbies. He was very interested in building things like his brother, but was always more into designing how things went together and the math of it all. His fascination was ongoing and would remain so though out childhood, one of the few points he shared with his brother. Jaro was also more of an out and about type of child enjoying playing and going on adventures outside, though never fully engaging with other children unless directly invited.

Both boys were great students in the area of math. It was a point of competition for Jaro, needing to do better then his brother and easily doing so as Cranous was more laid back in school.  Cranous was more focused on science classes as well as to an extent art classes. What he enjoyed can take easily from each subject and it was a point of pleasure to be able to further his own fancies. Jaro for the most part stuck to math and even joined online groups related to his passion, other classes trailing behind because of his devotion to the area. Both had their own small circle of friends, very rarely over lapping as each chased after their own passions. Cranous would never develop a power, but Jaro his brother would. Jaro could shift his body weight from the thinnest to heaviest size that his body frame could handle. It was an awkward power, but one he saw great value in as he was able to use his weight as part of his math related researching. He'd work extremely hard with it to master it, finding it easier and easier over time and working to get clothes that could work with his abilities over time.

Both brother would graduate school and go on to further school afterward. The pair ended up working in the same degree program and would become Radiation Shielding Technicians with Jaro having a cross degree in Structural Engineering. It meant the two got to work together under the same company while still enjoying their own personal likes, Cranous would still collect and fix junk in his spare time and Jaro would devote his free time to the mysteries left in math.

[ Miroslav Matyldashu ][2560][Mischievous | Tactless]
[Environmental Suit Engineer][Magic Able]

- Miroslav would need a radiation suit her entire life. Like her mother she had been born with the High radiation condition that caused her own radiation to be a threat even to her own kind without shielding. Her mother was not upset and was in fact prepared to handle the situation as she had known there was a high chance of the condition. Her father on the other hand was a little more concerned and really did not like seeing his baby girl inside a suit from the first moment he could hold her. Her radiation was marked on her body by visibly glowing spots and when out in her specially designed room she made for an interesting light show.

Growing up Miroslav found some amount of frustration in her condition. She could of course go out and play, but her suit sometimes would get caught on things and hold her back. She didn't enjoy being laughed at, and took to getting revenge on those that teased her. This was mostly harmless things as she was aware that hurting others was not okay, sometimes switching things that belonged to others and other times starting terribly silly rumors that adults had to put down. She had no issue admitting the things she did with pride and no issue telling others directly how she felt about them. School was not great for her as she was more interested in playing around then working most of the time. Miroslav only had a small number of close friends that enjoyed her as much as she did them, and who were willing to look past her blunt honesty.

With age she would gain a power becoming able to Telepathically link to another to pull all the information a person has in their mind about the topic they are speaking about. At first it was startling and hard to fully control making her and her mother deeply concerned. She had to take special classes to over come the issue and get her training started, slowly building the ability over time.

University led her down the road to a career along side her mother as a Environmental Suit Engineer, her own experiences causing her to want to design a sleeker suit so those with her condition could live more normal lives. She got on better with the staff at her job then she had ever got along with the kids in school, and they often enjoyed her light hearted work based gags. Finding plastic critters in cups, or things jumping out of cabinets and other things was always worth a laugh.

[ Libuse Matyldashu ][2590][Honest | Outgoing]
[Assistant Housing Director - HMC][Magic Able]

- Thirty years after their first child the parents of Miroslav would have a second little girl. Unlike her sister and her mother  Libuse would be born with a normal level of radiation for her species and would not have any other mutations that would affect her health. Her pink hair did have sparkles in it, but it was simply related to appearance and nothing else. Libuse was a healthy infant as was as an active one often quick to engage with her parents and family as she became old enough to actively seek their attention.

Like her sister Libuse would be extremely honest, though she would try to work her words into more gentle remarks then her sister would make. While it was important to be truthful there was no need to hurt someone more deeply by not taking their feelings into consideration. She was a very social girl and the type to go out and seek friends over wait for them to come to her, often putting extra effort out to help those that seemed to need a smile. She was very popular and spent more time on that then school work earning her grades that were passing, but below average.

Her ability would come in and prove to be a bit confusing. Sometimes she could see red strings between two people tying them together. Her teacher confirmed it was an ability, but that they were not sure what it did. Libuse would notice in time as she worked with the ability that the people tied together would at times change, and other times would come together and form couples. She would eventually work out it was a type of psychic pre-cognition that allowed her to see people that were fated to be together in their current life paths. It was something that tickled her to no end and made her deeply happy.

While many suggested she form a business around her ability she was more then happy to simply to use if for curious friends and more happy when it helped. She would become a secretary for the research department her sister worked at and was more then content with the social job she had found.

[ Augolha Alloshu ][2590][Dependent | Resilient]
[HMC - Miner][Respirator Installed][Magic Able]

- The odd bumps on the child's body at birth were a common trait of the family and hardly worried the new parents. Rock Growth would cause gems to grow out of her pores she would shed and regrow over time.  Augolha had the metalic skin of her father and the alloy diet of her mother that was so common to their home town. She was delivered easily and proved to be a healthy child during exams. She was her parents third child with an older pair of sisters before her that were fully grown and out of the house. Both her parents were confident in their skills in raising children and were ready to face the challenges of raising another.

Arts and crafts were of interest from a young age for Augolha. While some found it a bit gross Augolha liked to make her body gems into trickets and give them as gifts. They were after all a one of a kind item and she thought it made them even more special for people to get. She also had a deep interest in stones and in the earth in general asking for geology related toys when possible. While always present with a smile or optimistic thing to say Augolha did struggle with other areas mentally. She hated to be alone and didn't like going out without someone at her side even as a child. It wasn't that anything bad had ever happened, she was simply the type of person that needed other people around. Her parents found seeing her off and their daughter knowing she was headed to a place with others was often enough to get her out the door, and it was something that they would use for many years of their daughter's life.

Augolha's power was a type of ore sense. It made her able to sense large gatherings of Ore pockets in a mile radius of her person. Well it would later in life with much enthusiastic study, when it first became active it was only within a few feet of her. Augolha loved her ability and used it as often in study and school as she did in real life boosting the amount of time she practiced without really thinking much on it. Magic study became a favorite subject in school along with science. She grew close to a few people that became the foundation of her feeling not alone when at school, but otherwise didn't seek to befriend a lot of people. Her grades by the end of school were average and that was perfectly okay with her!

She would get a job with a mining company on her home world at first finding herself well versed in such. It was a job she adored and swore to stick with for life as she could see no reason to ever leave it. Sadly the evacuation would change all of that and force her to be jobless for several years until a mine on Cruix opened positions for miners in an area she was able to travel to. It was enough to make her joyful again even with being forced from her home world.

[Event/Evacuation] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Miroslav looked up at the intercom, listening intently for a moment before going back to work. They needed enough power cells for radiation suits loaded to cover the needs of their sector before the evacuation in their zone became mandatory. It had finally come down to it, the Devourers had gotten so far that their city was running on a skeleton crew as all others had left. They could not leave with out the power cells though, while GUARD and INCEPT were willing to take them in their sheilding tech would not be up to par for people with the heavy radiation condition at first, and possibly was not fully ready to handle the regular radition levels of everyone else.

Message fading Miroslav shifted her head to pop her mic on "Libuse has the second to last crew all checked out with the last shipment? Everyone sighed out? No one slipped and feel and cracked a skull out of that mess of clumsy clan?" She spoke with a bit of pep, trying to crack a less then funny line.

"Yes Ma'am! We are down to the final crew and everything is going okay. Jaro is rechecking the weight capacity of the carrier, he says the estimations look off." Libuse repeated off her sheet "Cranous has everything done in his section and is going ahead and doing a last run through to make sure everyone is out of the building."

"Knowing Cranous he's scavenging trophies to take with him" Miroslav rolled her eyes at the notion. "Tell Jaro he's over working those calculations, he's checked them enough to know he's over working them." She sighed, attention darting up to the news update. It was just another alert of a fall back point hours from their location still, but close enough to gain attention. Her and Libuse's parents were from the point being talked about on the news. She would have been more concerned, but she knew both were already safe in a loading zone to be pulled off planet.

"Miroslav!" The intercom cracked to life "Its Augolha from 'Creft Canyon Mining Co." The female sounded nervous on the com, clearly not comfortable still being in a area that was bordering the unmanned hot zone. "Boss wanted to apologies for being late, says he's real sorry but it was hard to get the men needed together to get this shipment to you. Actually its just me and him, at the loading bay!"

The wind could be heard over the intercom as the woman waited for instruction on what to do. "Go ahead and come in, drive straight to the cargo bay. That stuff is going straight on the carrier, don't care if you guys are under on the shipment size or we can't get it all loaded on time. I assume you are just hitching a ride with us right?" Miroslav asked, moving to flick her channel over to Jaro for when she was done with the mining people.

"Boss says if you can manage then yes. Not much time to really get from here to the last transport out of the sector before the final warning sweep." Augolha was still to an extent in shock over everything happening so fast. Her family had been leery to let her stay behind, but she had insisted that she wasn't going to leave her boss to do his job alone. The man was to old to be running adventures by himself with high winds and looming danger just outside their location.

"Alright then, I'll warn Jaro so you don't suprise him." And with that it was off the intercom and onto the radio. "Jaro, Miroslav here. We have two spare passengers so I need you to rework-"

"The math, I know. With how late that shipment was I was estimating three to four persons joining the flight. I am surprised your sister didn't tell you that." His tone was clearly displeased and annoyed that she did not already know this.

"Libuse just said you were reworking things, with all the muttering I assume you were not clear." Miroslav sighed. "Are we going to be able to pull this off? Or are we going to be over the weight limit?"

"We can manage if we leave a crate of suits or a rack of power units behind. Obviously I suggest the power units as those can be recharged, and it takes longer to make the suits." Jaro would pause and listen to the silence on the other line for a moment. "I assume you don't agree."

"No I agree. I just wish we had something else we could strip out to make it so we could take all the important gear." She sighed, a hand running through her hair.

"If I can get Cranous in here fast enough we should be able to take out some of the seating. It'll make the ride rougher on us, but we should be able to get all the cargo in." Jaro offered, eyes trailing to the carrier in thought.

"Get started I'll chase him down there so this can get underway. I'll be leaving the office here in about five minutes to head down. Make sure you have everything worked out so I can just hop to work once there, we don't have time to put our thumbs up our asses this time. To much is on the line, we have got to be out of here at least two hours before we hit the mandatory evacuation line." Miroslav was already in motion to start gathering the last of what she needed and head out the door. Cranous would be sent a text message to get down to the hanger and finish up prep so that they could get the hell out.

Upon getting down to the hanger Miroslav would find the brothers a fair way towards done, the chairs already being thrown out and the miners helping. The pilot was already going over the equipment and readings for the carrier to get prepped for flight. "Okay! We have about an hour to finish! Evey one of us has to bust ass and get finished!" The group responded well to the prodding and were soon working even harder.

Even lightly built Libuse was working hard as she could to move things and full of blushing and light laughs when she found herself over her head. Despite the urgency of what was coming eveyone was trying to stay in light spirits. It was of course hard to do. All minds were on the fact that this was the last time they would see their homes. The last time any of them would be here at work. Everything each of them had known for life was about to blink out and they were going to be deported to an alien world to resettle.

Miroslav was trying not to fret. She at least knew she had job security once she got to Cruix. Their species was going to need radiation suits to be able to go near natives. Hell they needed environmental suits to be able to live in the toxic oxygenated atmosphere. Her and Libuse had their family still, all of them moved and ready to go. She counted it a blessing that no one in her family was military, hearing the number of loses was staggering. She swallowed any fear that tried to creep up that they were pushing their luck with what they were doing and focused on working.

Libuse had been holding together as much as possible. It was great to know her family was safe, but at the same time she had sympathy for those that were not so lucky. Several of her friends in the military had come back from fighting broken in more ways then physically. Hearing them talk about the feeling of being able to do nothing hurt in her heart and all she could do was try to comfort. A home world falling apart was enough weight without feeling helpless before the weight of it all. She really had no idea is she was ready for a new world. What would she do? Would she be able to adjust? Who else was she going to lose as things drew to an end here. It was enough to make her tremble when not pushing boxes, and she was honestly trying to keep busy to prevent breaking down. She had to keep smiling for everyone and not just herself, she had to know in her heart that things would be okay.

Jaro was not concerned with their world. It was by all means a lost cause and there was no way that they would be able to support it. The math stated that much. They didn't have the fire power or resources to dig in and fight any longer and if anything it was about time they gave up. How many lives had been sacrificed because the wanted to 'save their home'. It would have been better to just leave, though he knew in part the wait was due to the need to find haven in INCEPT. Further he wondered how long their safety would last. There were high chances what was on their planet would get off and onto other worlds. Maybe the Oxygen would kill them, or something else; but it was something he let stick in his mind. His only comfort was to bury his mind in calculations and hope that everything came to a close in an orderly fashion.

Cranous was more selfish in his lamenting. Mostly the fact that all his lovey inventions and reinventions would have to stay here. Everything from the his rock cracker made out of old gear from the mine to his shoddy solor panels that had been brought back from the dead. He was trying not to speak of it to much as he could sense everyone else serious and somewhat down mood. It was hard to watch, but he was carrying through well. A new world was not all bad to him, it meant he got to build new things once there. It was enough to give him hope for a bright future, something he would cling to in this dark moment.

Augolha worked to focus on what she was doing. Working was keeping her mind busy so she didn't have to think. Being with boss was a comfort to her and she greatly appreciated it. Having the man there for her was nice, well he wasn't so much there for her as he was there in general. He was working just like her to stay busy. She was worried about her family even if she was sure they were safe, she was worried about her friends as contact had been brief after the evacuation of the planet was ordered. At least she knew most of the people here. The twins were only a bit older then her and and Libuse was her age, they had all gone to the same school in there small town. Everyone knew everyone here and she wandered if they would still be together once they got to Cruix.

When it was finally time to go nothing much was said. It was simply a matter of getting where they needed to be and dropping off the gear before joining in with the other survivors of their species. So few of them were left, and many people were searching for people that were not going to be showing back up. There was so loss between everyone that it was hard to deal with for the small group. They had found the others of their city and banded together to comfort each other in communal support. They had to stay on the Arch Angel for a time while their new home was finished. A flying island that meant a new way of life. Every trip out doors mean a suit as the Oxgen was a poison to their kind. Trips beyond their island needed radiation gear to protect the other species of Cruix. It was not an easy adjustment and some of their community would lose a lot of hope. But others would step forwards to lead and pull everyone through. The people left of the city worked hard to be settled together among all the other Udono, working together to make sure they got back on their feet together.

All five of the group had remained close friends during the adjustment. All of them had opted to get the surgery for Oxgen filters. It was just simpler to have them in order to adjust to their new home. It meant one less step to survive in every day life. The sugery was safe and simple and cheap enough that most could afford it making it no issue to get. Being able to go out without masks after all had recovered was celebrated by going to a recreation area on their new home and just spending the day goofing around.

All of their jobs had to shift a bit. Miroslav kept her work as a suit engineer under a different company. It had taken time to adjust to some new co-workers, but once that had happened bussiness had gone back to normal. Jaro and Cranous both landed a job in a sister company doing their same work. Cranous was back to building things in his spare time and Jaro had more math then he could ever want doing calculation for their new bussiness. Libuse was honestly at a loss as the company her sister was a part of didn't really need her, instead she took a retail job for a short time.

Augolha was also at a loss for a while. She got into construction for a while, but had no passion for it. It wasn't until 2630 that she found work in what she loved. The commute was a pain, but it was worth it to be back in mines and working with stone again. When the Divergent Rift started clearing out an area to make into a Udono zone she was right up front to volunteer and she had people to call.

Miroslav, Jaro, and Cranous became part of the team that would work with the shielding and other needed tech to make the colony work. The three along with Augolha would be on the waiting list for the 2645 move in date for Udono wanting to move to the rift. Libuse struggled as she wanted to go as well, but didn't have a job with the company. In the end her sister managed to get her an interview for a position as a housing assistant that would work in the colony. It was a perfect fit and a very social position that made her happy. It would take time for everyone to settle into home and jobs, but there was a lot of hope that this would be their final home after all that had happened.
Five character CAE and long event story XD Was a lot of fun to write and hopefully it passes okay! Udono © Tenor Characters are mine.
