AA: Stormy Night

The sound that woke Sidny was one that had become a common place warning he might as well wake up. Before he was fully aware of the world, he could feel Zehrowon curling against him. The rain was coming down steadily. A moment later their youngest was padding across the floor, Sidny shifting to lift him before he made protest. A moment later their eldest was headed in as well, climbing in bed and working to get in between his parents. Sidny gave a chuckle, shifting to fetch a flashlight and a book. It was easiest sometimes to just read the family back to sleep on stormy nights.
